Hot Air and Bits
As I've mentioned here, there was a "Job Market" event in Thessaloniki, which I managed to attend at the last minute. I just discovered the brochure with the participating companies, which includes financial information of the participonts.
Quick conclusions from a fast skimming:
- For medium-to-large companies, each employee adds on average 50K€ to 100K€ to the gross profit of their empolyer.
- For small companies, the corresponing figure is 20K€ to 35K€.
- Manufacturing, Retail and Industry have a profit margin of 2%-8%, while Consultants and Software have 25%-35%
Please note that I'm a Software person, not an Accountant or Economic Analyst, so take this with a grain (or mountain) of salt.
