Do you want spam with that?

The developers at Google must have way too much free time, as I found out as I cleaned up my spam folder in gmail (all 2 of them):

Google Spam Recipes

Since my Web Clips sources do not include anything with a cullinary tendency, the big question is: Is Google spamming me - in my spam folder?

Heheh, do you want fries with that?

I don't see any such "suggestions" when visiting the spam folder, but look at what Gmail's sidebar served me today (note that I didn't mail anybody about Thessaloniki or the Doc Festival, and of course I don't have a blogspot blog!).

Circumstantial and you know it. How did Google know I'm into the Festival? By parsing my blog.
My blog mentions my Gmail account, but spam-mangled. Scratch that avenue.
My blog is linked to by my blogspot account, though, which is linked to my Gmail account. Bingo!

    I'd say it's beyond creepy :-p
